Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies on physiologio.com, and how you control them.

Last updated: 20 April 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners about how their site is used.

Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, and pixels — work in comparable ways and are also covered by this Policy. For simplicity, we refer to all of these collectively as “cookies” throughout this document.

This Cookie Policy applies to the physiologio.com marketing website only. The Physiologio platform application (app.physiologio.com) uses technically necessary session tokens and authentication cookies which are essential for the service to function and are not subject to consent requirements.

2. Cookies We Use

We categorise cookies into two groups:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. They do not require your consent under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. They do not collect information for marketing or analytics purposes.

Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)

These cookies collect information about how visitors use physiologio.com — which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and how they arrived. This data helps us improve our website and services.

Analytics cookies are only placed after you give your explicit consent via our cookie banner, in compliance with GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy Directive.

We do not currently use any of the following categories of cookies on physiologio.com:

  • Marketing / advertising cookies: we do not run retargeting campaigns or serve targeted ads via cookies.
  • Social media tracking pixels: we do not embed Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or similar trackers.
  • Profiling or personalisation cookies: we do not build behavioural profiles of individual visitors.

3. Google Analytics 4 in Detail

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), operated by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA). GA4 helps us understand website traffic, page performance, and visitor behaviour at an aggregate level.

What GA4 Collects

  • Pages visited and events triggered (e.g. button clicks)
  • Session duration and the number of pages viewed per session
  • Approximate geographic location (country/city — derived from a truncated IP address)
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • Traffic source (how you arrived at physiologio.com — e.g. direct, search engine, social media)

Privacy Measures We Apply

  • IP anonymisation: GA4 truncates IP addresses before they are stored. Your full IP address is never stored by Google in our GA4 property.
  • Consent Mode v2: GA4 is configured in Google’s Consent Mode v2. If you decline analytics cookies, GA4 operates in a restricted mode that does not place cookies or link your activity to a persistent identifier. No personal analytics data is collected without your consent.
  • Data retention: We have set GA4 data retention to 14 months (reduced from the Google default of 26 months).
• No data sharing: We have disabled “Google signals” and all data sharing options that would allow Google to use our analytics data for its own advertising purposes.
  • Data Processing Agreement: We have a signed Data Processing Amendment with Google, and data is transferred to the USA under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

Google’s Privacy Policy

For more information on how Google processes data, see Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data privacy and security.

When you first visit physiologio.com, you will see a cookie consent banner that allows you to:

  • Accept all cookies: strictly necessary cookies plus Google Analytics 4 analytics cookies.
  • Decline optional cookies: strictly necessary cookies only; GA4 will operate in restricted consent mode and will not set analytics cookies or track your session.

Your consent choice is saved in a strictly necessary cookie (cookie_consent) for 12 months so that we do not ask you again on each visit. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time (see Section 5).

Your right to withdraw consent: Withdrawing your consent for analytics cookies does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before your withdrawal. It will stop any further analytics data collection immediately.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can manage cookies in several ways:

Via Our Cookie Banner

To change your cookie preference at any time, clear your browser’s cookies for physiologio.com (this resets the cookie_consent cookie) and reload the page. The consent banner will reappear.

Via Your Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Please refer to your browser’s help documentation:

Please note that disabling all cookies may affect the functionality of some websites, including physiologio.com.

Google Analytics Opt-Out

To prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits across all websites, you can install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Edge).

Your Online Choices (EU)

You can also manage advertising preferences (relevant if we add marketing cookies in the future) via the Your Online Choices tool provided by the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA).

6. Third-Party Cookies

Currently the only third-party cookies on physiologio.com are set by Google Analytics 4 when you have consented to analytics cookies. We do not embed any other third-party scripts that set cookies (no social media embeds, no chat widgets, no advertising networks).

If we integrate additional third-party tools that set cookies in the future (e.g. a live chat provider or video embed), this Policy will be updated prior to deployment and you will be asked for renewed consent where required.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove cookies, or as applicable law evolves. Material changes — particularly those that affect the categories of cookies used or the purposes for which they are used — will be communicated via an updated cookie banner.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
